How Our Mobile-Friendly Portal Empowers You to Manage Your NDIS Plan Effortlessly

If you are looking into plan management options, but are wary of losing visibility over the financial aspects of your National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan, fear not! The Nappa portal makes staying across the state of your plan easy with real-time budget tracking and invoice status updates.

Using Nappa, you retain control and visibility over your funding. You can see exactly what is happening, as it happens. Plus it’s mobile-friendly and responsive; so while we don’t have an official app yet (keep an eye on this space), you can use the portal seamlessly on any mobile device.

Introducing Nappa, Your NDSP Portal

One of the reasons why people gravitate towards plan management over self management is to minimise their administrative load. If your current provider does not have an accessible portal with everything you need, you’ll likely end up doing at least some admin just to track down your invoices or budget details.

For those who haven’t tried our Nappa portal yet, you might assume it’s just another thing to keep track of. But that’s not the case at all. We built Nappa with our clients in mind, so you can have everything in one place:

  1. Monitor allocated and remaining Plan funds.
  2. Submit (depending on your level of access) and view invoices.
  3. Securely view details with passwordless login.

Secure Access for Participants and Providers

Nappa keeps everything streamlined and centralised. You have complete visibility over everything relevant to the financial aspects of your NDIS plan. This is a free, accessible tool for all NDSP clients and anyone a client grants access to.

For Support Coordinators with specific consent from their clients, access to our Plan Management Portal can provide you with:

  • Real-time Budget Tracking – View each client’s Plan funds in real-time.
  • Invoice Management – Access to all client invoices and much more.
  • Provider Confirmation – Quickly verify your clients’ provider claims against each support category.
  • Budget Snapshots – Get instant snapshots of remaining budgets for all support categories.
  • Budget Reports – Generate or view, depending on your level of access, detailed reports showing your client’s itemised expenditure history.

How do I use the NDSP Nappa Portal?

If you are a client with NDSP, getting started with Nappa couldn’t be easier. 

  1. Navigate to the Nappa Portal page and select “Nappa Login”
  2. With our secure passwordless login, you will log in with a code sent to you by SMS or email. Either way you will need to enter the email associated with your NDSP account.
  3. Enter the code and click log in. Easy!

Once you are signed in to Nappa, you will be able to access your dashboard. In the menu you will see sections regarding your Plan, Claims, Providers, Reports, Settings for your account, and a handy summary of your total available budget.

All of this is available to you 24/7; and all of it is in real time, so that you have the most up-to-date information at your disposal.

Submitting a claim with Nappa

There are two ways providers can submit an invoice to NDSP for processing.

  1. Via the invoices@ndsp.com.au email (use the subject line to indicate if this is an invoice or a reimbursement).
  2. By clicking ‘Submit Claim’ in the Nappa portal. You must have applicable access to use this option (Full Access, not View Access). When you submit a claim through Nappa, it should be to the same standards as an email submission to ensure it is compliant with NDIS requirements.

For Participants: If you have Auto-Approval off, you will receive an SMS prompt to go to the portal to review/approve an invoice when it is ready. If you would like to opt out of these prompts you can adjust your Nappa account settings.

Our system will automatically identify and process compliant invoices – if your invoice is not compliant for any reason, it will pass to one of our specialists for review and correction. 

Note: Only Provider invoices can be approved, and only if they are not submitted via the portal.

No App? No Problem

While we don’t yet have an app for Nappa, this will not impact your ability to access the portal 24/7 on desktop and mobile devices. Here’s how you can save the Nappa portal to your phone’s home screen for quick access, anytime:

Adding Nappa for Android Devices

  1. Open Google Chrome on your phone.
  2. Navigate to the Nappa portal.
  3. Tap the three dots icon at the top right corner of the Chrome browser.
  4. Select “Add to Home screen”, then select “Add” in the resulting pop up window.
  5. You will now have the icon on your home screen, alongside your other apps – you may have to scroll to find it if you have a lot of apps set up already.

Note: For Samsung users, Samsung Internet is the default browser – in this case you will need to:

  1. Click the menu hamburger icon (three lines) in the bottom corner of the screen.
  2. Click “Add page to” from the menu.
  3. Select “Home screen” and then “Add”.

Adding Nappa for iOS Devices

  1. Using Safari, tap the share menu button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select “Add to Home Screen”.
  3. You will have the option to edit the site’s title if you want to.
  4. Press “Add” in the top right corner once you are happy with the name.

Saving the portal this way will essentially shortcut it and act like an app, in that you can select it right from the home screen without having to manually search each time. It will then open automatically in a new window, in the browser you saved it from – for example, Chrome or Safari.
