A NDIS disability service provider is an individual, business or non-profit organisation that provides support services to NDIS participants. Providers have the option to become registered with the NDIS or remain unregistered. A NDIS registered provider has the flexibility to provide services to any NDIS participant regardless of how their plan is managed, while an unregistered providercan only provide services to plan or self-managed participants.
If you’re living with a disability and require support, an NDIS disability service provider may be able to assist you. A support coordinator can play a crucial role
in identifying your reasonable and necessary service needs, as well as helping you locate the appropriate providers. There is also a perception that Plan Managers and Support Coordinators are the same thing, just under a different name. This is not the case.
